Quality management has a tradition in our countryfor decades.
PORR was one of the first Austrian construction companies to introduce a certified quality management system in 1995. The advantage was clear: PORR made the highest quality a priority from the very beginning - not only when it came to building construction. We understand the concept of quality in a much broader sense. In addition to the quality of workmanship, we must also add a focus on economic realisation and environmental protection. And, of course, occupational safety and health.
With this certification, we are sending a clear signal: we have officially confirmed that our commitment to quality is not just talk, but part of everyday reality.
Responsibilities neverdoes not expire
In the meantime, the environment has changed significantly: the demands on companies are constantly increasing. Customers, shareholders, partners, the general public and our own employees have ever-increasing expectations.
In order to survive in the long term today, a company must take its responsibilities seriously in a variety of areas: on the one hand, responsibility for people and the environment, and on the other hand, responsibility for shaping its management processes effectively. Therefore, the comprehensive assurance of quality requirements is a top priority for PORR and is clearly managed in our corporate policy. And while in the beginning it was "just nice" to have the certification, today we can no longer afford it in an international context.
